Admissions Policy

Admission procedures are stringent because the aim is to ensure that students who graduate from CIMS should become important members of society as healthcare providers in the medical services.

Local Seat

The term local means any person having Pakistani Nationality & residing in Pakistan permanently

Foreign Seat

The term foreign means applicant(s) and their parents having foreign credentials including a valid passport

Wards of Army personnel

Sons and daughters of army personnel (serving/retired)

Eligibility Criteria for admission:

For Local Seat Applicants/Wards of Army Personnel:

NUMS Entry Test

OR

Provincial Medical College Admission Test (MCAT)* (Mandatory)

OR

SAT II Examination (with minimum 550 score in each subject, Biology & Chemistry being mandatory)

(Applicable only if scores in NUMS entry test/Prov MCAT do not meet the minimum aggregate)

For Foreign Seat Applicants:

SAT II Examination (with minimum 550 score in each subject, Biology & Chemistry being mandatory)

*For this year as an exception provincial medical college admission test (MCAT) can also be considered for local students who for some unforeseen reason could not appear in NUMS entry test

Conditions:

1- Initially all admissions will be provisional.

2- Any candidate whose particulars, documents, authentication is doubtful, fabricated or false, his/her admission will be cancelled and all fees paid will be forfeited.

3- If a candidate once selected for admission in CIMS, leaves to join another institution after 4 weeks of start of academic session he/she will have no right to claim for refund of the fee.

4- If a seat against open merit falls vacant, the next candidate on merit of the same category will be selected.

5- A student, who has availed four chances to clear the first and second professional MBBS and has been expelled on that account from CIMS or from any other medical college, shall NOT be eligible for continuation of medical studies and shall NOT be eligible for fresh admission.
